There are so many distractions in our lives.  I believe that with regular meditation, distractions are not able to distract as often.  The things that once held the power to break our focus no longer holds such power.  Knee-jerk reactions to situations or circumstance are no longer made.  With regular meditation, a pause is taken and difficult decisions are now made with less stress and more logical thought.  These things are by-products of meditation itself.  They naturally occur.
