Many who know me well, know that I am pagan and that I do not celebrate
traditional commercial holidays.
I need no special day to tell those most closest to me that I love them. I tell them every day.
I need no special day to be grateful or feel blessed. I feel those things every day and I acknowledge them every day.
And so forth and so on… I will not criticize your belief system. In fact, it is delightful to see and experience other cultural events this time of year.
I celebrate and participate in the turning of the Wheel of the Year and at this time of year I celebrate Yule.
There is one tradition of sentimental value that I do hold true to. I enjoy sending seasonal cards. If you would like to receive a card from me, send me your home address or a safe address to use.
Deadline is December 12.
89. I love this one!! Slowly moving, keeps you transfixed to the image, willing you… compelling you to do… Share . . .
By Imbolc, the days have become noticeably longer since midwinter’s darkness as the sun continues to mature in the sky. The young earth is becoming fertile and the young sun begins to show signs of his virility. Seeds that have lain dormant in the earth will soon sprout. Life is becoming more active as the cold winter fades away.
