Hypnotist to Hypnotist by Donald Pelles, Ph.D.

I have known Lady Inamorata for a number of years. She and I are colleagues and friends and I am a devotee of her work.

I am a hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner. I work on both the conscious and unconscious levels, teaching my clients to use their minds in new ways, enabling and empowering them to open up to new directions and possibilities, to new ways of feeling, thinking, doing, and being. Lady Inamorata does much the same, but in a different context – she is, as she describes herself, a trance purist, a nature lover, a witch, and like her namesake stock character in the Commedia dell’Arte, hopelessly in love with The Moon (and the Mystery Of It All).

As I tell my clients, hypnosis is not something being done to you, but something you do. “I guide you; I instruct you; I help you to access that altered state that is part of your mental (and spiritual) equipment, but you’re doing it – I am just the guide.”

Hypnotists need hypnotists!

In my work, I utilize a paradigm known as Core Transformation, by myself and with my clients: starting with an issue that may seem to be a problem, an impediment, we elicit through the process a high-level spiritual/existential Core State of Being, and then use this to transform the issue and the person. In my own Core Transformation work, I have found two very special Core States: “Just Being” and “Nothingness.” In trance with Lady Inamorata, I find myself immersed in both of these states: that exquisite feeling of being controlled by another, driven rather than having to drive – just being, and the nothingness of pure, deep trance, where I seem to go away totally, with no memory, even, of what has transpired.

I keep returning.
