According to Johns Hopkins:

Many health experts recognize the powerful connection between the mind and body. Meditation is the practice of nonjudgmental self-awareness to help improve mood and anxiety. Mindfulness meditation is a simple, powerful tool that anyone can learn. By taking time out of a busy schedule, a person can focus on paying attention to body position, breath and thinking processes. The goal is to reduce stress, feel better and take time to appreciate life every day.

There are literally hundreds of meditation techniques encompassing practices from different traditions, cultures, spiritual disciplines and religions. There is no universally accepted “best” or “most effective” type; rather, it is based solely on individual preference.

I specialize in

  • Guided/mindful meditation
  • This meditation utilizes a number of different techniques to achieve or enhance the meditative state — imagery, music and other techniques.

  • Spiritual meditation
  • Spiritual meditation is used in Eastern religions. It’s similar to prayer in that you reflect on the silence around you and seek a deeper connection with your higher power and/or the universe.

  • Transcendental meditation
  • Transcendental Meditation is a very popular type of meditation. This practice has been the subject of numerous studies in the scientific community.

  • Progressive relaxation meditation
  • Also known as body scan meditation, progressive relaxation is a practice aimed at reducing tension in the body and promoting relaxation. Oftentimes, this form of meditation involves slowly tightening and relaxing one muscle group at a time throughout the body.

  • Loving kindness meditation
  • Loving-kindness meditation is used to strengthen feelings of compassion, kindness and acceptance toward oneself and others. It typically involves opening the mind to receive love from others and then sending a series of well wishes to loved ones, friends, acquaintances and all living beings.

  • Visualization meditation
  • Visualization meditation is a technique focused on enhancing feelings of relaxation, peace, and calmness by using creative visualization; to imagine a scene vividly and use all five senses to add as much detail as possible.

  • BDSM/kink/fetish and training meditation
  • I prefer subtle domination and submission as well as female led relationships. Your kink/fetish may be different. If we are in agreement on this particular specialty, your fetish/kink will be woven throughout the meditation. I reserve the right to decline your specialty and/or if we are not compatible and you may be referred to someone else in the community.

  • OBE (out-of-body experience) and/or astral travel meditation
  • This type of meditation involves a body scan to relax your muscles, deep relaxation and instructions to lift yourself out of your body and see from above.
